New York, Wheeler twp. pg 429. He is listed as George T. Havens and is between
20-30 as is his wife. They have one son between 0-5 and one daughter between
0-5. !CENSUS:1840 Michigan !CENSUS:1850 St. Joseph Co., Michigan, Leonidas pg
320 !CENSUS:1860 St. Joseph Co., Michigan, Leonidas !DEATH:Land document dated
1869 shows sale of Thomas N. Havens' share of his fathers estate back to his
mother. !LAND:St.Joseph Co. Land Documents show his name in 1838, so that must
be about when they came to Michigan. We have a copy of a letter that has been
down to members of George's family which was written to George T. Havens
written the 7th of May 1854 telling about "bounty land business". He says that
Uncle William denies that he, Uncle George had given Dan (whoever he is) a
power of attorney to do business about the bounty land. (I figure this must
have been bounty land given to their father for his service in the Rev. War.)

1872, and lived just a few miles from the town where my Great Grandmother Alta
Swikert was born. !DEATH:Petition filed 13 Sept 1880 by son George W. Havens,
of Polk Co., Nebraska showsshe died intestate. Letters of Administration dated
5 Oct 1880 appoint him administrator; also mention Thomas N. Havens.
