James and Benjamin Haines

The 1880 U.S. census lists two of my gr-uncles as living in St. Joseph county.
James is shown as being a farmer in the Leonidas area. He was married to Anna E.xxxxx and had two children, a son Fred and a daughter Bertha.
Benjamin is shown as living with and working for Norman Hoisonglon in the brickyard at Fabius. He is not listed as married.

That's all I know. Does anyone know "the rest of the story"?

Thank you, O.D.
