I have looked for an obit for Joseph and all that I have
found are several articles from local newspapers that tell
of his accident. I believe that he is burried at the
South Colon (Eberhard) Cemetary on North Burr Oak Road
which makes since if his wife was an Eberhard. My husband
and I went there and looked and we found the graves for a
Daniel, Amena, and another Lepley grave which the stone is
not legible. We believe that this is possibly Joseph although the listings say Jonathon.

Lakeside Cemetary has some Chapmans buried there near the
Lepleys. I have since found out that there were several
James Chapmans! (Imagine that!) Anyway, I am getting
closer to solving all of this. I am awaiting information
from another relative at this time that should help me
put all the pieces together. I found the "tidbit" regarding Orlando Chapman interesting. That was one piece that was news to me. I thank you for your help.
Are you local? I am in Branch County. I hope that you have not made any long trips in search of this family. I think that I will just wait for some information from a
relative before I go any further. Thanks again. If you
ever need a Branch County lookup let me know.
