Hi, My name is Jerry Harrison and William Locke and I are 1st cousins 3 times removed. Our common ancestors are Frederick Locke II and Cecelia St. Georges. I have his ancestry in detail and would be happy to share it. He was married to Mary Caroline (Carrie) Stadler. He had one adopted child, William George Locke.
In his WWI draft registration forms he described himself as having brown eyes and dark hair. His occupation was photography, working for himself.
For a lengthy time he was the only professional photographer in Capac, Michigan. His obituary from the Capac Journal: William Lock Passes Away Suddenly. William Lock, 79, died in his home after a short illness, Monday
morning, Dec. 21. Mr. Lock was born Feb. 22, 1874 in Capac where he lived all his life. He owned and operated the local Photo Studio. Mr. Locke was married to Carrie Stadler in 1913. Survivors are his widow; 1 son, Wm. G. Lock of Royal Oak, one sister, Marie Johnson of Florida; 1 brother, Henry Lock, of Port Huron, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Barnard Funeral Home, Capac at 2 p.m. Wednesday (1953).
On the very first page of the 1930 Capac U.S. Census is found, on South Main Street:
