Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Most of these records were destroyed under privacy laws. If they do exist, they'd have been archived long ago. Local police registration records aren't kept after 10 years unless there's a case that is still open. They'll usually send them to a storage facility as long as statute requires, then either destroy them or have them filmed. In 27 years, I've never seen anyone make these records public.
