Posted by: Ron Kyser Date: November 16, 2001 at 22:19:19
  of 777

Alexander MASON of Scotland married Christine BOYER of Detroit/Windsor in Detroit, Feb. 13, 1845. They moved to St. Clair County by 1850.

They are on the 1850 census for Cottrellville thus:

Alexander 37
Chrissie 24
Emily 7
Alexander 4
James 2
Martha 3/12

They appear on the 1860 census for Ira (?) Township thus:

Alexander 59
Christy 34 (?)
Alex 14 (11?)
James 12
Jane 9
Nancy 1
Phebe 6

Alexander Jr. moved to Leelenau County where he married Mary Dalzell. Does anyone know of Alexander Sr.'s origin, or of the fates of his other children?

(Christine, of Quebec stock, is already traced several generations in every line.)
