Almira J. Havens was born in South Edwards, New York, February 19, 1837, and passed away at her home, Aug. 13[?], 1914. She was married to Alexander Noble, December 27, 1859, in the house where she was born. They moved to Coopersville in 1863, where her husband had a section of complete timber from which they prepared for themselves a home. Twenty three years ago they built and moved to the present residence. To this union were born four children; Willis J., Lucy S., and Joseph II., of Coopersville, and Mrs. Elenore ??? Miller, of Elkhart, Ind. There are five grandchhildren. She also leaves three brothers and three sisters; Joseph Haven, and Mrs. Frank Whitford of South Edwards, New York; Wright Havens of Pasco, Wash.; Hiram H. Havens of Beaumont, Texas; Mrs. William Marsh of Conklin; and Mrs. Ozias Noble of this place.
Mr. Noble passed away about five years ago leaving his widow in very feeble health, her last illness extending over five months. She was an exceptionally patient sufferer and appreciated the slightest service. All that loving hands could do has been done by the faithful daughter who lived with her and she was reaady and waiting for the journey to the Great Beyond.
Funeral services were held from her late home conducted by Rev. J. H. Wilcox of St. Johns, assisted by the Rev. D. E. Birtch, local pastor of the M. E. Church.
