DEATH CLAIMS OLD CROCKERY RESIDENT IN GRAND HAVEN
Mrs. EMMA C. MEINEL, 73, a resident of Ottawa county for many years, passed away early Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, 1344 Columbus Street, Grand Haven, following an illness of some duration.
Mrs. Meinel was a resident of Robinson township for about fifteen years and about twenty years ago the family moved to Crockery township, where they have long been known. Many friends of Mrs. Meinel in Robinson, Crockery, and in this community were deeply grieved to learn of her passing.
About three years ago she went to Grand Haven to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. WHEAT. The deceased is survived by the following children: Mrs. A.D. WHEAT of Grand Haven; ALFRED MEINEL of Oregon; ANDREW MEINEL, OTTO MEINEL, WILLIAM MEINEL, Mrs. FRANK MERKINS of Nunica. Eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive her.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at one o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs A.D.WHEAT and at 1:30 in St. John's Luthern Chhurch. Rev. MEYERS was in charge, and burial was in Nunica cemetery.
