AARON JUDSON CLAYTON, a pioneer of Wright Township, Ottawa County, was born in the town of Manies, Onandagua County, New York, December 4, 1842, and died at his home November 14, 1921, aged seventy-eight years, eleven months, ten days.
In the spring of 1845, he came to Michigan with his parents and settled on the farm where he died. In 1865, he married MELISSA WOODMAN, of Talladge Township. To this union were born five children, WILLIAM J., JOHN F., MARIETTE, CHARLES J., and ELIZA J., all of whom survivie him, except MARIETTE. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grand-daughter.
