I did find the marriage record (Ottawa County, Michigan, Marriage Records, book 5, page 281):

Paulus Nauta, residing in Lamont, aged 22, born in the Netherlands, farmer, and Angie Thompsen, residing in Lamont, aged 19, born in the Netherlands, married 22 October 1883 in Lamont by R. Drukker, minister of the gospel. Witnesses were John Tuinstra and Ben Paulaus, both of Lamont.

The spelling on "Thompsen" is hard to make out, but it definitely looks more like Thompsen than Thomasma. I would trust Thomasma, though, if you have another source to back it up.

If you'd like photocopies of the record email me at dutchroots@mindspring.com
