I found some interesting things at the library today concerning Oliver Frost and family. First, from the Wright Township, Ottawa County tax records:

Oliver D. Frost, in 1850, paid taxes on W1/2 NE1/4 of section 15, T8N, R13W, 80 acres, valued at $100. He also paid taxes on the same property in 1853 (valued at $330) and in 1858 (valued at $580).

Overall, Oliver Frost is listed as a taxpayer in Wright Twp for the years 1854, 55, 56, 57, 59, 61, 62, and 63. (These may be the only years for which records still exist.) Also, Margaret Frost is listed for 1865, 66, and 68. My guess is that Oliver died sometime between 63 and 65. I found a marriage record for Margaret Thompson Frost in 1870 to.....Nicholas Stage.

I have made photocopies of this marriage record, along with the 1860 census entry for Oliver Frost & family, and the 1870 census entry for Nicholas Stage & family. Please contact me if you are interested.
