Dolores, Here is the obit you were asking about. I research the Franckowiak family in Otsego County, I was wondering are you connected to them? Mary K. Franckowiak Mary K. Franckowiak, 86, died Tuesday, May ll, 1999 at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. Born in Elmira on Aug. 22, 1912 she was a lifelong resident of th area, where she and her husband owned a farm for many years. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of St. Thomas Church in Elmira. Surviving are her children, Julia (Ivan) Polus of Whitefish, Mont., Bernadine (Leonard) Regulski of Harper Woods, Norbert (Janet) of Port Orchard, Wash. and Martin (Linda) of Elmira. Also surviving are six sisters, Martha Polus, Anna Burdo, Celia Sulak, Sophie Skrocki, Helen Makarewicz and Bernice Lepera; three brothers, Casimer, Chester and Walter Zaremba, 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was proceded in death by her parents, Francis and Frances Zaremba; husband Louis, in February of 1993; two children, Edward and Louise; and one brother Joseph. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15 at 10 a.m. from St. Thomas Church Elmira, the Rev. Charlie Donajkowksi will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday at the Nelson Funeral Home and will be held at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service. St. Thomas Church Ladies Group offered a rosary at 2 p.m. Friday and the Knights of Columbus said a rosary Friday evening followed by a parish wake service.
