Joseph OUELLETTE (also spelled OULLETT) age 23 born in Canada residence Oscoda, MI married Liddie (Lydia) LAMONTAIN age 16 born in Canada residence Oscoda, MI on 22 November 1887 at Au Sable, MI by Plehos Alph Winter, Sacred Heart Pastor.
Witnesses were:
Louis Cota (or Leota) of Oscoda, MI and Elise Cota (or Leota) of Oscoda, MI.
Joseph’s parents were Pierre Ouellette (Oullett) and Cedele Coracher (also have her name as Cedele Creacher)
Liddie’s parents were Frank LaMontain and Alwene Nellitt (also have her name as Slinene Nellitt)
The above information was taken from their Certificate of Marriage
Does anyone have any information on these people? I’ve been searching for years and have run into a brick wall. I know they had 4 sons Joseph, Archie, Eugene and Napoleon. I have not been able to find birthplaces for any of the sons. I do know that both Joseph and Lydia died in Minneapolis, MN as well as Joseph, Eugene and Napoleon. Archie died in California.
