Thank you for your comment. I guess we are not sure just where to look since we are not from that area. Since my friend is looking for the living descendents and not the deceased, I just took a chance to start at this site where some other deceased ancestors were mentioned. I understand that Lakeview Cemetery is near the shore of Superior perhaps in another county. My friend in Norway wrote: "In Albert Johnson's funeral necrolog he also was mentioned as a Tamarack resident for many years. You see I am not so familiar with your way in naming regions compared to our way. I am looking for my greatuncle, John P. Johnson, who most probably died in one of first year of 1900. What I am more interested in is any (children)/living grandchildren of Albert W.Johnson, the oldest son of John P. If the information I have on him, Albert & Terese, and their family is correct, hopefully there might be living grandchildren after him?" In another message my friend wrote: "Regarding Lake View Cemetery:
**Mathilda Johnson is buried May 21,1932 in Section 40, Grave 17. This is a single grave which means her husband, John P. Johnson, is not buried next to her.**Albert William was buried June 23, 1932 in Section 36, Grave 59 which also is a single grave. (I am not quite sure of this Albert is the right one. There is a Mrs.Sophie T. Johnson who died Sep. 11,1949 in Osceola Township and was buried Sep 14,
1949 in Section 56, Grave 1. Three other people are buried in the same lot, her children, (They had eight, see the paperklippings when you recieve my snailmail), they are;
Erma I. Johnson who died in Calumet at age 76, March 6,1987 and was buried March 9,in Section 56, Grave 2.; Marvin Albert Johnson who died in Calumet at age 59 on
May 24,1967 and was buried May 26 in Section 56, Grave 4 ; Wilbert Johnson died in Laurium at age 77 on March 7,1982 and was buried March 10 in Section 56, Grave 3. They are all buried in Lake View Cemetery).*** Oscar was buried Dec.6, 1932 in Section 40, Grave 25 ***
Lena Johnson was buried Oct.20, 1951 in Section 25, Grave 8
***Hjalmar was buried Nov 1. ***Nothing found on Emil Johnson so far.***Why John P. Johnson & Mathilda is not buried next to each other? The reason may perhaps be there is about thirty years between them.
This is the information that we have to work with. Could you perhaps suggest a better place to post a message?
