The Simons family at one time [c1940-195-) lived in my mother's house on S. Pine St. in Evart.

You might try the tax records for Osceola Co., MI. I have found they gave time frame when they arrived 'til they no longer were in the county.

If you have a time frame they were in Evart, start there with the tax record and use ten years as a search frame, forward and backward. I have broken a case using the tax records.

Another source: Evart Review, 1872 to present. People were often in the news. The Simon family would probably be in "The Talk Of The Town". Ruth Simons worked for Davy & Co. Dry Goods. I went to school with some Simon children. [1940's]

Another source: Index of Evart Review: Genealogy sources to c1900, through courtesy of Mrs. Duaine Hodges, S. Evart. Records births, marriage, death.

Best Wishes. Norma
