Ichabod Johnson, 1870, Hersey Twp.

Looking for information on my 3rd great-grandfather, Ichabod Johnson, born about 1817 in New York and at some point migrated to Osceola County, Michigan. I found him, along with wife Mary A., children, Richard(b.abt.1846),Ichabod(b.abt.1851),Ellen(b.abt.1858), and Martha(Mattie,b.abt.1862) in the 1870 Census of Hersey Twp. However, I was unable to locate them in the Census of 1880 and found that strange as the family owned quite a bit of land.
If anyone knows of this family of Johnsons, please contact me via email!
