I am looking for information on the family name Schmiedeknecht. Most of them now live in Michigan (Muskegon, Whitehall, and Montague areas), but I don't know about then. I can trace it back as far as my grandmother's father (Arthur E. Schmiedeknecht, who died in Whitehall, Muskegon County, in the early 1990's). I am trying to trace them as far back as I possibly can.
