A couple of years ago Richard Schram was kind enough to look up the cemetery listing for John and Lurena Logan in Oceana co., MI. He found them listed as being in lot 373 in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shelby, Oceana Co., MI. John has no dates on the stone but his Civil War service is noted. Lurena (Toms) Logan's dates (1828-1906) show on the stone or did the last time the stone was listed in the cemetery database. See message 87 of 242 for Richard's comments.Is there someone there in the Shelby, Oceana Co., MI area who can/will go to the cemetery and take a picture of this tombstone for me? I can reimburse the expense. A picture that can be sent as an e-mail attachment is fine but I will furnish a snail mail address if that is the best way to send a picture. If someone who is related to either John Milton Logan or Thankful Lurena (Gaines) (Toms) Logan please contact me either thru this forum or via e-mail.
