Hello, I am looking for the families of Samuel Donaldson who married Nancy Messenger in New York that move to Oakland Co., Michigan. She married him in 1836 after her father had died. Nancy (Messenger) was the daughter of Rufus Messenger and Rosannah Goddard who was from CT at the time of her birth they were living in Monroe Co., NY. I am still looking for the mother time frame of death Nancy father Rufus Messenger (Sr.) died in early 1835. Nancy's oldest brother (Rufus) Milo Messenger was born in 1799 in CT or MA, I have found leads of where the family lived in Westfield, MA. Nancy was one of the younger children who was born in New York. She has 7 siblings: Rufus Milo Messenger who married Elizabeth Ann Barnes two son Edwin Milo Messenger, Chauncey Monroe Messenger Rufus Milo Messenger died in Peoria Co., IL in 1830's (this is my lineage of Messenger) Lavina Mesenger who married Dr. Jonathan Gale who died in Brighton New York in 1850's Anna Messenger who married Dr. Jacob Scheaffer Anna and Jacob Scheaffer died in De Witt, Iowa These four move to Michigan after 1830's and one live a short time in Indiana (one of the sisters)then moved to Michigan Philinda who married John Neale or Neal Fanny Messenger who married Lucius Judson Harriet Messenger who married Silas Darrow Warren Messenger who married Jane Noble and we try to relocation all of the history of the children. I am in touch with each lineage of Rufus and Rosannah Messenger lineages. I would love to know more about this family of Oakland Co., Michigan, I did find history on the Oakland Co., Partrait and Biographical Album on Hertiage Quest.com I know the grandaughter Kate B. Donaldson married Bernard Banfield and that their parent were Oscar and Elizabeth(Hays/Hayes) Donaldson and John and Mary (Griffith) Banfield Roy M. Donaldson married Cora Bentley who was parents were Amo Bentley and Ellen Bloss and he was the son of Oscar and Elizabeth too. Roy and Cora Children were: Leo Roy Donaldson Vernon Donaldson Cora Z.
