I am looking to exchange and compare information on the family of Stephen and Ann Gardner who pioneered in Lyon, Oakland, MI in the 1830s. Known children include:
Martha Jane Gardner (b~1807 NY) married Levi Curran/Curren
Franklin Gardner (b~1809 NY) had 3 wives: Unknown More, Catherine Dunlap & Fandancy Permelia Sholes.
Laura Gardner (b Nov 1819) who married Homer P. Watters
Stephen Gardner (b~1821) who married Sarah Jane Rose
Minerva Gardner (b~1822) who married Erastus W. Norton
Elizabeth Gardner (b~1825) who married William R. Norton
Clarissa Gardner (b~1828) who married Christopher C. Norton
Known grandchildren include
Nancy Gardner (b~1836 who married George Knapp
John M. Gardner (b~1842) who married Mary L. Garner
This is that horrible time period when family members were not named in the census, and vital records were not mandatory. I welcome any and all information, corrections or comments. If you have photos, that's even better :-) Thanks, Allison Wise
