Hello Thomas,

Thanks for writing. I'm curious, do you have free access to the 1930 census records or is it through Ancestry?

I had not checked the SSDI, simply because I assumed that with the name Smith and no definite dates of birth there would be too many names to weed through. I did manage to look through all the names, but I couldn't make a determination as to the right people. IF Charles and Tracy lived to be adults, they didn't use their middle names as adults. I don't think they stayed in the Detroit/Pontiac area if they did live to be adults.

Thanks for your help. I guess I'll continue to keep my eyes open for clues. Hopefully somebody related to them will write me.
