Hi Rod..... Samuel KRING below is the brother of Silas. From Index and Personal Histories From Historical Hand Atlas Monroe Co., MI. 1881:
Samuel H. KRING, was born in Sandusky county, Ohio, March 13, 1857. He is a son of Henry C. and Mary (Adams) KRING, settlers of Monroe county in 1865. He was married in Raisinville, Monroe county, September 25, 1879. His son Otto Henry, was born April 21, 1880. His wife Alida E., born in Sandusky county, Ohio, August 06, 1862, is a daughter of Henry William and Sarah (Ickes)Moses, settlers of Monroe county in 1871. Henry W. was born in Bedford county, PA., May 10, 1838. His first wife was born in Scott township, Sandusky county, April 18, 1842, and was a daughter of John Ickes, whose death occured at Helena, Sandusky county, in 1880. Henry W. has one child by his second marriage, named Minnie, born February 12, 1874. His second wife, Susannah, was a daughter of Elias Loose, and was born in 1847. Samuel H. Kring resides in Raisinville township. Business is farming. Address, Raisinville, Monroe county, Michigan.
