Hi Susan

Thanks. Yes, I have a lot of info about O.S. Fowler and his wife, Dora. They were my husband's grandparents. But what I am looking for are all the schools she taught in. We know of one in Isabella, due to the recent publication of a book "Yesterday's School Kids of Isabella County, A history of one-room schools in Isabella County, Michigan", by Jack R. Westbrook & Sherry S. Sponseller, 2009. I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar compilation for Midland Co where Dora grew up or Gratiot Co, where we are told she might have taught after her marriage.

According to the Isabella Co. book, Dora taught at the Davis School, Freemont Twp, Pleasant Valley Rd, in the academic year 1916-1917.

Francis Fowler thought that Dora also taught at the Elm Grove School, only 1.5 miles from their farm in Isabella Co but located in Gratiot. We do not yet have confirmation of that nor any information from Midland County Schools.
