Richard, thanks for the follow up. Jeanette Schouman Hungerford was my Grandfather's sister. I was missing some information on them so began looking in depth to see what I could find. I found a Fred C Hungerford on the California death notices which indicated Ida Hammond was his wife which I accepted and everything started to fall in place, until I rechecked my data on Jeanette which indicated she died in Midland county Michigan in 1949. Things didn't add up, why was she in Midland, (now I think I know why; his sister) and Fred died in California in 1947??? I remember seeing them when I was a child when I would go to Flint to visit my grandaprents. I even have movies of them my grandfather took. Anyway the more I checked the more I felt the Fred C ( California)was married to an Ida Hammond but they are not the Fred C I was looking for because their birthday's were different. Also the Margaret listed in the 1870 census was 26 years younger than JB. In the 1880 census it shows Maragret as the Mother of Alice, Horace, and Mary. I think she was a daughter in law. An 1850 census for Watertown NY shows JB and a Rhoda, listing him as a lumberman, born in Vermont. I have gone on enough, let me know what you think. Did Mabel's brother Fred C die in Midland? I can't remember where I got the Information that Jeanette died there.
