I found some added info. in Historic Mason County:
"It is believed that the 1st white child born in Amber Twp., was Jesse M. Towns (Feb. 1864) to Jellse L. Towns. They came to Amber in 1863 and believed to be the 1st white settlers. Jesse L. was elected Twp. Treasurer. Also in 1863, Louis C. Towns came to Scottville which was only forest with a few cabins.
The Towns family didn't include any bio. in the book.
