Rescued Article WWII News, STEINKE Surname, Montcalm Co MI
Posted by: Kathy Londo Barnes (ID *****0439) Date: January 26, 2014 at 13:55:18

As a hobby I rescued identified photos, articles & documents and attempt to locate family to send them to. I came across news articles that appeared in a local news paper in the area of Edmore and I am looking for family to send them to. I only ask to be reimbursed my expenses for each item.

This article is dated Wed. May 17, 1944. Two brothers are shown in photos. One is identified as Sgt. Donald Steinke and his brother was PFC William Steinke. Both of Edmore. It goes on to tell that Donald went over seas in 1943 and William left for Europe in January 1944. Both were in England and were able to meet up. William was a teacher at Edmore Rural Agricultural School and Donald was employed in Detroit.

If you wish to obtain this treasure, please contact me for details at: digginroots@yahoo.com (that's 2 g's not 3.)
