Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

You already have this census I imagine, but I'll post to show within the thread that your Lorinda was in Osakis a few years before she died there:

1900 US Census
Osakis, Douglas, Minnesota
William M Johnson 55
Ada A Johnson 55 born Aug 1844 Michigan
Mabel L Johnson 22
Lorinda A Thompson 78, widowed, mother-in-law, born May 1822 in New York, parents born Scotland [sic]

CAUTION: There are quite a few family trees on Ancestry.com for Thaddeus Cutler Gilbert (now that I've parsed using the new findings, I've spied 'em).

The FAMILY SEARCH tree should be checked - there are quite a few Thaddeus Gilberts out there. So on Ancestry.com are many family tree creators, some of whom may have done original research and have original documentation for this family.

In the couple of trees I checked, no one has found the children to Thaddeus and Rebecca Redding. You hold the key to that mystery, I suspect!
