Looking for information concerning Cornelius Lynch and Bridget Harris and descendents. They were married in Ballyduff, Lismore, Waterford County, Ireland on the fifth of February 1865. Later that year they left their native Ireland and arrived in the upper peninsula area of Michigan known as copper country. Michael, Daniel, Mary A. and Bridget were all born in Hancock, Michigan According to the USA Census of 1870 for Hancock, Michigan Cornelius was working as a blacksmith.

According to information from the Republic Michigan newspaper the family moved to another upper peninsula area of Michigan known as iron country and settled in the village of Republic, Michigan. In 1874. Cornelius started work at the Kloman mine which had just opened. All the other children John, Cornelius (1), Timothy V., Richard, William, and Patrick were born in Republic.
