Marlette, Sanilac, Michigan

Marlette was a village, until the 1980s. In the 1950s and 1960s the population was a little over 1800. Did the people that lived in Marlette have their names listed in any city directory? I know that Sandusky was the county seat for Sanilac County and Imlay City wasn't too far away. Now, cities like Saginaw and Flint seem to be too far away to list every little town and village.

Could you direct me to someone who could help me.
