My elusive ladies are:
1. Mary Ross Born 1845 in Quebec Canada.
2. Matilda Ross Born 1846 in Quebec Canada.
3. Elizabeth Ross Born 1848 in Quebec Canada
All the information I have on them is: I can find no records for their Birth so do not know the Town, Village or City.
I know by the 1861 Canadian Census they were in the Chatsworth district of Holland Township of Grey County Ontario. This census indicates they were born in Lower Canada which is Quebec.
I have no knowledge or records of Who any of the three sisters married.
My query: This Robert Ross and Jane McCotter family has eluded even the best amateur genealogist to date.
From their last know location of Chatsworth, Holland Township, Grey county Ontario Canada in 1861 some of them had simply vanished.
Not until I found one child Margaret (see below)in Michigan did the idea hit me that maybe others went that direction. (Margaret Ross, born 1842 Quebec, Broughton, Megantic County and married in 1865 in Owen Sound, Grey County to John Chisholm) emigrated to the USA in 1866... source: 1910 Michigan USA Census.
I have since found our Swinton Ross in Michigan and on his Michigan death record found the notation showing his parents Robert and Jane Ross also in Michigan.
The above information has lead me to consider that maybe the Three elusive ladies mentioned above may have also gone to Michigan.
My plea for help is: Does anyone in the Michigan area have access to online records that might help me locate these folks as I have no other information records, stories or lies on them. I also am not a member of Ancestry Canada, USA or the UK.
I hope this helps in some small way.
