Lots of people search for years for a surname without realizing it has variant spellings. I have a mother of the groom whose name is Carlena Kruger on a second or third marriage of a German born Charles Telzrow born about 1857 in Mecklenburg, Strelitz married in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
A Telzrow family from Mecklenburg has children:
Wilhelmina Sophia Frederika
Ludwig Johann Fredrich
Johann Christoph Friedrich
Johann Friderich Theodor
Father: Johann Friedrich Christoph Telzrow
Charles seems to be interchangeable with Carl.
A Grand Rapids marriage for Charles/Carl Telezrow refers to his father as Fritz.
Mina was an earlier wife. Mina can be a nickname for Wilhelmina. Brother-sister marriages are taboo. One might confuse the record to hide that relationship. English linguistically oriented record keeper would want a vowel in that "lzr". German I guess doesn't need one.
