Greetings. I am the great, great grandaughter of Janet MacDonald Cadwell (daughter of James MacDonald Sr. and Agnes Ferguson MacDonald, I believe.) James and Agnes and family came to Canada from Scotland in 1842, lived there about eight (8) years and moved to Jeddo, Michigan. As of 1879 (the fiftieth (50) wedding aniversery of James and Agnes), all of their immediate family was still alive. I have the photo to prove it!. I don't know much more about the family, but I do have several pictures; one of the family taken many years later when Janet's children were all grown up and also a booklet of pictures from the John Mac Donald (of Verona)1st Family reunion September 1st, 1935 at Olin Park, Madison Wisc. John and Janet (nee McLachlan)Mac Donald came from Scotland to Canada in 1843 and to Verona in 1845. Janet died Feb. 6th, 1874 at the age of 79 and John died Nov. 13th, 1883 at the age of 91.
I post this as hopefully there are other members of the MacDonald family who will be enriched by this.
