While working on an inventory of the photos I've rescued, I came across an unposted photo, of a beautiful lady, taken probably mid to late 1800s. On the back is written, Loretta (Hicks) Decker. I had this photo in a pile of "things to do" for this hobby of mine. I've had it a month or so. The other day, I posted photos of the DECKER twins, Inez & Ethel and a set of twins identified as Louise & Lorianne HICKS-both from Jackson Co. MI, as is the photo of Loretta. The twin photos had just come in from an auction and (since I'm a mother of twins) I went to work on posting them, right away. All of the DECKER & HICKS photos came from an estate in Jackson Co. and the surname for the estate was CROWNOVER. I went on Ancestry.com and did a search on Loretta and was able to locate her in the 1900 Jackson Co. census, with her husband and one of the daughters, Ethel. The family lived in Spring Arbor, MI. I haven't been able to connect her with the HICKS twins, yet. I'd like to locate family to send these to.
