I rescue old photos that are identified, from auctions, antique shops and estate sales. With as many as I've rescued, I didn't realize that I actually had three with possible/probable ties.
I have one of a young man, late 1800s early 1900s, and he's identified as Daniel S (or L) Edwards. It is noted that he went to school in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I picked it up in an antique shop ni Newaygo, MI.
I picked up one of a young lady. It was taken very late 1800s early 1900s. On the back is written: Anna B. Edwards, taken while at school in Ypsilanti, Mich age 18. This too, was found in Newaygo, at a different time.
I did a little research and there was an Edwards family living in Brooks Twp. Newaygo Co. They had a daughter, Anna B. She was born 1878/79. Her father was James K. and mother Alice. Chances are very good that this is the same family. Brooks Twp. is where the city of Newaygo is.
The third photo is of a boy, identified as Harrison Edwards. If was found in a box of photos with the photo of Daniel S. (Shaw) Edwards. I did some research on Daniel and he did live in Brooks Twp. Newaygo Co. MI
I'm having a hard time coming up with information on Harrison. Possibly a brother to Daniel, son or nephew? The photo states that he was 14.
