Thomas Buckle after 1880

Did Thomas Buckle and/or Juliette Woodruff Buckle return to Michigan after 1880?

At a brick wall to find death and place for Thomas Buckle born 1851 in England. His family emigrated to Ontario, Canada. Shortly after 1871 Thomas moved on to Sanilac County, Michigan where he married Juliette Woodruff. They are in Humboldt Co. on the 1880 census. They had two sons, Henry Cameron and Herbert Carl both born in Michigan (Herbert was born in 1879 which means they are new arrivals to CA.). Within a few years Thomas and Juliette have divorced with Juliette and Herbert found in Texas by 1893 where she married again. No trace of Thomas Buckle has been found after 1880.

Appreciate any help to solve this question.
