The Jerore family is in the Kenockee, St. Clair, Michigan census of 1880 listed as: Macson, 57, born Canada, with both parents born in France. Widower. Rosa A. (this is probably the Annie) who was a witness for her sister's wedding, age 26 Mary G., 22 Edleda, 19 (obviously "Adaline" - illiterate census-taker) Macson, 16 (obviously "Maxim", who in the 1930 Michigan census, confirms that he was born abt 1865 of Cdn-born parents and emigrated "with his father" as it says, in 1879. Marshel E. (obviously Edward M., who says in a later Michigan census that he emigrated in 1881 and became naturalized in 1899 - but they obviously came down as a family in 1880 or earlier). Margaret L. 10 The father, Maxim Sr. (maybe he was Maxim Maurice, but I didn't see a 'dotted 'i' in the marriage registration of Adaline, so I wonder if it was really Maxim and entered questionably. A lot of people back then could no spell, let alone spell their names. Anyway, the father must have died in Michigan sometime between 1880 and 1900 and the mother (Mary, who was born in Ontario as was her husband) must have died in Ontario. It seems by the censuses that there was just the one family of Jerores in Michigan and they are all there in the 1880 - 1930 censuses for that state.
