Hi!
According to the Michgan death index, John was born Aug1, 1909 and died November 7, 1882.
The 1910 census for Ann Arbor shows as being the son of Chauncey L, age 36, born MI father born Germany, mother born Mcihigan.
Mother was Mary E. age 25, born MI father born NY, mother born MI.
OF course, John L is there, too.
John's father is buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea , LIma township, Washtenaw Co.
In the 1930 census, there is a John L. STAFFAN living as a step son in Ann Arbor, but the census page comes up blurry and I can't see who he is livng with!
On the Washtenaw County GenWeb page you can get the listing for the other STAFFAN/STAFFIN/STAFFENs buried in Mt. Olivet.
