Ferguson from Holdien C.W. ???

I found James Ferguson in the 1860 Mecosta, County, MI, Town of Pearsons, census beside his Brother Jacob Ferguson (I hope), and they both state that they were born in Holdien C.W. Since I can not find Holdien (Canada West), I figure that the census taker heard onr thing and wrote down another. Does anyone have any ideas of where Holdien really is?

James married Philadelphia Fry in Montcalm County, MI.
