Lovisa Andersson in Manistee 1907
Hello! Looking for my swedish ancestor Lovisa Andersson, born in Sweden 1874, emigrating to Michigan 1891. In 1907 her younger brother Herman (who was born in Michigan 1890) went to visit her at 262 4th Str, Manistee. The rest of the family emigrated in 1888 but returned to Sweden in 1899. Lovisa and Herman were my grandmothers siblings. They also had a brother, Carl Fredric (born in Sweden 1877), who stayed behind in the US. Their parents were Anders Jonsson (born 1841) and Stina Johanna Carlsdotter (born 1850). I cannot find them in the passenger lists at Ellis Island, and we do not know where they went. The only thing I remember from my grandmother is that she said they were in Michigan. She was only 6 months old when they left Sweden, and twelve years old when they returned.
Hopefully there is someone left who could tell us all what happened!
Best regards!
Elisabeth
