Thank you. I remember our last excahnge 3 years or so ago. My father just keep insisting that they were related, but he doesn't know how. His older brothers were Charles Eick , b. 1926 and Clarence Eick, b. 1921. They lived in Stony Creek, then Washington township, then on a farm in Metamora in Lapeer County. Dad (Conrad Eick, b. 1936) says that his brother Charlie went out to live with and work with them at least one summer, and he always thought that they were related to his dad, Edward Eick. Edward had seveal brothers and sisters, including Richard Eick, Anne Eick, Martha Eick Johnson, Ida Eick Heck, Emma Eick Hall, Lena or Pauline and possibly others.
However, the other side of the family was Lovells. My grandmother was Ellen Mary Anne Lovell, and her mother was Anna Winegar. Any connections there?
I just think it is intersting that dad remembers your realtives names, and he says the brothers were out at their farm in Metamora in the 1940's. Dad was so much younger, though, that he didn't really ever have those conversations and connections to extended family that many people have. He is now the only one left from his generation in our family. Thanks for any leads or help you can provide.
