Hello Marsha,
I've been reading along in your queries and have been trying to unravel this part of your genealogy.
The 1850 census index and images are only available from Ancestry.com. However, once I give you the census page number you can then locate it at genealogy.com.
Frances A Tenney (female) age 80, b. NY in 1769 appears on page 17, roll M432_357, Armada, Macomb, MI.
Also listed are Lewis (?) Livius ? Tenny (38), Ella A. Tenney(8), Jackson Couker (19), farm help, and Adeline Tenney (60). Living next door are the Corbins. So once you have located Frances you can maneuver through the pages.
Q: Could Ella A. been Ella Adeline?
The real question regarding Lucy Elizabeth Tenney (1829-1851) is who was ARTHUR M. TENNEY, her husband. I did not find him in 1850 or 1860 but in 1870 at age 36, unmarried, living in East Saginaw (he probably worked in the lumber camps). Also, why is Lucy E. Tenney buried in Ray Township?
There were no Tenneys living there in 1850. Did the newly weds perhaps live with her parents or did she go home to have the child?
Given that Lucy Elizabeth died Jan 26, 1851 and the other Lucy E. was born in 1852 (possibly in Jan 1851?)it seems to me that she is the offspring of Lucy E. and Arthur M. Tenney. The mother probably died at child birth and the child was raised by the grandparents. I have checked the marriage records for Macomb Co. but could not find their marriage. Perhaps you can obtain a copy of Lucy E. Tenneys death certificate from the State of Michigan.
This is just some food for thought. I'll keep on checking.
