Epidemic in Armada in 1848 ??

Was there any major sickness or epidemic that hit the Armada area in 1848?

Joanna Corbin Tenny died there December 1848, and her parents who probably lived near her family, died in September 1848. Her mother was Mary "Polly" Hayward/Howard and she died September 3. Her father was Joseph Perrin Corbin and he died September 24. Joanna was 48. Her mother was 70 and her father was 75.

I have searched for death certificates, but that was before Macomb County started requirng them.

Thank you,
Marsha
