Livingston Co., Cooley Family

I have found that Sullivan H. Cooley (is he the one in the 1870 MI. census index listed as S. H. Cooley?) was in Deerfield Twp., Livingston Co.,MI., in 3 Aug. 1874 buying land in Iowa. By 11 May 1876 he is found to be in Guthrie, Iowa. I am trying to find his parents and any information about him. Does any one have any information on E. F. or Elhanan Cooley, who was prominent in Deerfield? Did he have any children?
