Oscar O. Stoddard Needs Grandparents

I am looking for information regarding Oscar's maternal grandparents. I learned today that as a young man he was a teacher in Livingston County, Michigan. Oscar was born in New York and in the 1830's his parents moved to Michigan where his father lived for many years and where his mother Harriet Matilda Cook died. She is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan with her infant child. Do you possibly have any ties that will give definitive proof as to who Harriet Matilda Cook's parents are? I have extensive research regarding her brother, Merriman Cook, but have not cracked the nut shell that is blocking me in finding the next generation, their parents.

Thanks for any help you can give me with this.
