Earl Clifton Beck, born 2 March 1891 in NE, son of Cornelius Porter Beck, graduated from U. of Nebraska with a Masters of Art.
In 1930, he was found in Michigan as Professor at CST, the College of Science and Technology. He was married to May Marjorie Miller and had a daughter whose name could not be read easily, but is probably Margarete.
In 1989, Professor E. C. Beck was awarded award for his studies and writings of lumberjack lore. He wrote 3 lumberjack books, detailing their music lore. In 1959 the Library of Congress produced the recording "The Songs of the Michigan Lumberjacks" with E. C "Doc" Beck editing the notes.
I have quite a bit, but nothing really on his family after the 1930 census. He was known to be alive in 1965 and living in Brighton, MI.
So he died between 1965 and 1989 and probably in Michigan.

Does anyone have any more information on Earl Clifford "Doc" Beck, professor at CST?
