There was a headstone as tall as me, about 5'5". The name Spaulding was carved on the base. Unfortunately, there is no first name. It looked like there had been floral carvings or etchings on it at one time, but are now almost completely smooth. I couldn't make out if there had ever been a name or dates on it at one time. Leaning on it was a small headstone: Jessie, infant son of WM. S. & O. A. Spaulding Aug. 11 [?, not sure if second number is a 1] 1873 [not positive this was a 3]. Next to and to the North of tall stone was: William S. Spaulding Died Sep ? 1883 Aged 78yr 5m Fannie, [top of stone raised letters say Mother] wife of Solomon Spaulding Died July 27, 1854 Aged 72yr 9m 22d Calvin Spaulding Born March 31, 1820 Died Sept 28, 1897 Mel? Spaulding [couldn't read all, but was short name] Born Dec. ? 1829 Died Jan 1, 1904 Luther Spaulding July 18, 1857- July 11, 1915 Laura Spaulding Nov 7, 1849- Sept 2, 1936 Lida Spaulding Oct 17, 1851-May 29, 1939 Allen D. Spaulding, son of Claude & Louise 1945-2001 Claude S. Spaulding 1914-1999 M. Louise Spaulding 1916- Fanny Spaulding, wife of Burl [ ?, first two letters were clearly Bu ] Williamson Born May 12, 1861 Died Feb. 18, 1894 Edward Williamson 1894-1972 In another section of the cemetery [buried next to a bunch of people with the last name Hill] were: Emma M. Spaulding 1878-1943 John C. Spaulding 1874-1944 Ortha A. Spaulding 1844-1894 Ortha buried [same kind of headstone too] next to Charles Knapp 1834-1909. Ralph E. Spaulding 1905-1981 Beulah F. Spaulding 1907-1996 Edward E. Spaulding PFC US Marine World War II Feb. 6, 1924-Sept. 28, 1981 Notify Administrator about this message?
