Soule family NY>MI 1844 & earlier
Benjamin Soule, his wife, Mahala, daughter Matilda, age 16 or so and a younger son Benjamin (possibly more family members) moved from the Farmington NY area to Rollin, Lenawee County in mid to late 1844. He had made a trip in the spring, returning home to Farmington May, 12, 1844. Finding himself "better situated than he expected," moved the family out. He had visited "Aunt Elender" who had a two month old daughter, Phebe Ann (no last name known) who had a new baby girl a week younger than the other baby mentioned, Simeon (who was not well when father left.)Presumably these people are family members. Also mentioned in this letter(written by Matilda to her brother, Caleb in Binghamton,Broome County, NY) is "Dianna is still to Samuel Everett." My great grandmother was Dianna Soule, b.1824 married William Everett, b.1822 in Farmington, NY and moved to Michigan, supposedly about 1844, & to Ingham County.Does anyone in Lenawee County have information on any of these people? Matilda married Milton Lamb and they lived in Rollins. I don't know how Dianna is related to this family, but there must be a connection. Thanks.
