Couldn't find any evidence of A(sa) W Aldrich being employed as a photographer. He appears to have served in the Civil War,from New York. He later drew a pension as an invalid, and his widow Mary, upon his death, drew it as well.
The 1874 Lenawee Co. Atlas shows Mixer and Aldrich as Boot and Shoe dealers.
Asa is listed in the 1870 Federal census (b. about 1832) as a boot and shoe dealer. 1880 he is a store keeper. Could not find a listing for him in the 1890 census. Had trouble deciphering his occupation for 1910, but again some kind of dealer. 1910 he is unemployed.
Obviously he/she was a photographer, perhaps some one who is familiar with his work, will come along and solve this mystery.
