Below is an obituary of Mary :maiden name Mary A Conklin
her first marriage was to Thomas S Grinnell and they had one child - Rose H. born 1899.

her second marriage was to William D Howard and they had 3 children - Vanita, Marita, Bernice

William H, Howard is half brother to my grandfather Richard V Howard.

The death of Mrs. Mary A. KNECHTEL, wife of Edward KNECHTEL of the Masonic Temple apartments, occurred Saturday morning in Bixby hospital a few hours after being admitted.

She was 71 years old. Mrs. KNECHTEL was born in Dover township Sept. 23, 1877, and spent her entire life in Lenawee county, the greater part in Adrian.

She married William HOWARD of Adrian who died 25 years ago.

On June 26, 1949, she married Mr. KNECHTEL who survives with two daughter

Mrs. Rose MYERS of Detroit,

Mrs. Bernice GRAHAM of Ypsilanti,

three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two daughters

Mrs. Vanita MILLER and

Mrs. Marita MILLER and

one sister Mrs. Louise BARAGER.

Mrs. KNECHTEL was a member of the First Methodist church for many years. For many years she made and sold artificial flowers.

The funeral services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Everiss Funeral Home and the burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
