Hi. I've been tracing the Harris line and I have a mystery. Hoping someone here can help. I have an Anna M Harris who married Daniel Knox May 3, 1860 Northport, Leelanau, Michigan. Had kids Mary Francis, Emma, and John Marion Knox. According to census records, between 1865-1868 Anna then married John Harris, moved out to Waupaca, Wisconsin and had kids Clarance, Arthur, Eva, and Wallace Harris. The mystery is Anna's maiden name. If it is Harris, could Anna be Anna M Harris, sister of John? Or maybe it's Anna Harris, but just a more distant branch of the Harris line.
Question. Can anyone visit the Leelanau county clerks office and lookup marriage records? It's a longshot, but either the Daniel Knox or the John Harris marriage might have parent names. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Dennis
